From the first breakthrough to today.

1966 The Founding

Hans-Jürgen Essig brings a technical innovation to market with the impact mole and the soil displacement machine. Trenchless installation and rehabilitation of pipelines becomes economically viable for the first time. ESSIG quickly establishes itself as a pioneer for earth rockets and pipe rammers and soon delivers its machines worldwide.

1996–2014 The Second Generation Strengthens the Foundation

With Klaus Essig and Jochen Essig, the second generation continues the company’s history.
They professionalize sales and structures, expand the national and international network and position ESSIG in numerous European and non-European markets as a reliable provider of trenchless technologies.

2014 Transition of Responsibility

Margot Reiser takes over the management and guides ESSIG safely through a phase of change. She preserves continuity, stability and the values of the family company. With her commitment, she strengthens the trust of customers, partners and employees and thus creates a solid foundation for the further development into the next generation.

2024–Today The Third Generation Shapes the Future

With Andrea Duwe and Julia Reiser, ESSIG enters the third generation. Both are closely connected to the company and shape ESSIG with a clear focus on quality, reliability and partnership-based customer relationships.
Their aspiration: To further develop ESSIG technologically while preserving the family values that have defined the company for 6 decades.
